FEATURES: Full-grip jaws for increased surface contact on large diameter or thinwall parts, to prevent distortion and marring. Also ideal for fixturing non-cylindrical parts. Cast aluminum material is standard, with steel or cast iron available as an option. Steel jaws can be case hardened after machining, or left soft. Made in USA.
SIZES: Available for chuck sizes from 5" to 24" diameter, in standard height and extra high, and also in oversize diameters — see Dimensions page for part numbers.
DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS & SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: The "critical dimensions" shown in the dimension tables must match your master jaw, although outside dimensions can be different. Please check before ordering. When using extra-high or oversize-diameter top jaws, maximum allowable spindle RPM will be reduced somewhat. Please consult your chuck's operating manual.
MATERIAL (ALUMINUM): 319 aluminum alloy, with steel cross key.
MATERIAL (CAST IRON): Class 30 gray cast iron.
MATERIAL (STEEL): Mild steel.
