Pie-Shaped Soft Jaws

FEATURES: These jaws have precision locating holes to fit on round locating pins, for mounting on Northfield and MicroCentric chucks. Full-grip jaws provide increased surface contact on large diameter or thinwall parts, to prevent distortion and marring. Also ideal for fixturing non-cylindrical parts. Aluminum material is standard, with steel available as an option. Steel jaws can be case hardened after machining, or left soft. Made in USA.
SIZES: Available for chuck sizes from 4" to 18" diameter, in standard height and extra high — see Dimensions page for part numbers.
DESIGN CONSIDERATIONS & SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: The "critical dimensions" shown in the dimension tables must match your master jaw, although outside dimensions can be different. Please check before ordering. When using extra-high or oversize-diameter top jaws, maximum allowable spindle RPM will be reduced somewhat. Please consult your chuck's operating manual.
MATERIAL (ALUMINUM): 2024 aluminum on sizes up to 8" diameter. 6061 aluminum on sizes 10" diameter and above.
MATERIAL (STEEL): Mild steel. |
